What is FMCG ? What is full form of FMCG ? :

FMCG stands for Fast-Moving Consumer Goods which are also known as consumer packed goods. These goods refer to the products that are sold quickly and generally non-durable. It is also known as Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG). The examples of FMCG products are Household products, Functional foods, Personal care products, Products for cleaning and laundry. In FMCG Industry we see a products like soft drinks, processed foods, cosmetics like lip balm, eyeliner, deodorants, soaps, general using products like toilet paper, face towel, shower cap, toilet soaps and dairy products, baked goods, fruits, and vegetables and etc.

 

The Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector is the 4th largest sector of the Indian economy. It is characterised by high turnover consumer packaged goods, i.e. goods that are produced, distributed, marketed and consumed within a short span of time.

Why India celebrates '"Engineers day" on 15 September?. Who was Sir M Visvesvaraya?.


 

Every year India celebrates "National Engineers Day" on September 15 to recognise and honour the achievements of the great engineer Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya. Along with India, Visvesvaraya’s great works are also celebrated in Sri Lanka and Tanzania on September 15 as Engineer’s day. 

It was in the year 1968 that the Indian government announced the birth anniversary of Sir M Visvesvaraya as the "Engineers Day" of the nation. Since then, this day marks the celebration of engineers and their contribution to the development of the country. According to reports, India has the second largest number of engineers in the world. It is also regarded as the country of engineers. 


Engineering contributes a large part to the Indian economy and plays a major role in India's overall development. India has also been doing well in the IT industry, which has been growing at a fast pace with the help of all the hardworking software engineers in the country. Other forms of engineering like mechanical, aeronautical, chemical, computer, etc., also contribute to India's development.


But who was Sir M Visvesvaraya?. 

Sir Mokshagundam Vishveshwarayaoften referred by his initials, MV, was the first Indian civil engineer, statesman and the 19th Diwan of Mysore, serving from 1912 to 1918. He started his primary education in Bangalore, received his B Sc degree from the University of Madras, and then DCE (Diploma in Civil Engineering) from the University of Bombay through its affiliated institution and 3rd oldest Engineering College in Asia, College of Engineering, Pune. He received India's highest honour, the Bharat Ratna, in 1955. He was knighted as a Knight Commander of the British Indian Empire (KCIE) by King George V for his contributions to the public good.

Some of Sir M Visvesvaraya's most famous works include the development of the Krishna Raja Sagara dam in Mysore, the implementation of the irrigation system in the Deccan Plateau, the flood protection system for Hyderabad, etc. 
Sir M Visvesvaraya founded many industries like the Mysore Soap Factory, Bangalore Agricultural University, State Bank of Mysore, Mysore Iron and Steel Works, Government Engineering College, and many more.

Principles of Management / What are the rules of management? To become a successful professional.


Hello friends, 

Knowledge of management is essential if you want to be successful in business. We do a variety of things while doing business. Then there are some principles / rules to keep in mind if these tasks are to be completed on time and efficiently. So let us now learn some of the principles / rules of this management. We will look at 14 principles outlined by Henry Fayol, a French engineer and management expert.


Principles of Management -

 1) Division of Work: Assigning each task to one or more employees with proper division increases the efficiency of the workers a lot. Division of labor allows for specialization and increases productivity. Assign tasks to each employee so that they can become proficient in them.

2) Rights and Responsibilities: Rights and responsibilities are two sides of the same coin and maintaining balance between them is the job of management. When responsibility is delegated to an individual in the organization, that individual must be empowered. No one can carry out responsibilities without the necessary authority. Respect the intelligence, experience and values ​​of that officer / manager.

3) Discipline: The manager expects disciplined behavior from all employees. Disciplined organization can work well. It is the responsibility of the management to maintain discipline in the organization.

4) Uniformity of orders: If there is no unity of orders, there is no discipline in the organization. An employee should only receive orders from one supervisor. "Otherwise, authority, discipline, order and stability are at stake.

5) Uniformity of guidance: A team with the same goal should work under the guidance of a manager using a plan. This leads to unity and coherence in the guidance. Action requires a condition that focuses on unity, coordination of strength, and effort.

6) Priority of general interest: It is necessary to give priority to the interest of the organization over personal interest. The interests of the organization are important when making any decision, it cannot be ignored by the management. Prioritizing personal interests can lead to disagreements among workers. Individuals, including managers, should perform individual tasks.

7) Remuneration: Considering the efficiency, productivity and satisfaction of the employee, he should be remunerated for the work done. This is something that managers need to pay attention to. Because the organization progresses only because of the efforts and hard work of that employee.

8) Centralization: According to Henry Fayol, the centralization of authority at the right level in the organization allows the maximum use of management capacity. Balancing employee decision-making with centralized decision-making. The extent to which power is centralized and decentralized depends on the size, nature and capacity of the organization.

9) Right-chain: (scalar chain). In management, it is necessary to create a chain of authority to clarify the relationship from the senior officer to the junior officer. This chain determines the jurisdiction and determines who is responsible to whom. Employees need to know where they stand in the organization's hierarchy and who they can talk to in the order number.

10) Order: It has a definite place in the organization according to the order of each person, as well as the order of each object. This principle allows the right people to be hired for the right job and increase efficiency. The “right man in the right place” creates an effective social system.

11) Equality: If workers are treated equally without discrimination, So a harmonious relationship can be established between the workers and the management and the work can be done successfully.

12) Job stability: Every employee in the organization will have job stability, So he tries to complete his work efficiently with more interest. The volatile working class is considered a failure of management.

13) Sense of initiative: It is the job of management to encourage workers to think independently and to instill in them a desire for initiative. If management gives the right motivation, So employees can use their latent power to increase production.

14) Team spirit is the only strength: Productivity and production can only increase if all workers have a sense of unity. Management is the result of collective and organized efforts.

And for that you need to take the initiative and make that idea come true as soon as possible because you don't know when your competitor will emerge and overtake you.

Talk to yourself, your best friend is yourself.

Then in our lives those enemies challenge us and we meet those challenges by making some changes in ourselves. But if your closest friends appreciate your work in your best situation, it is these friends who stand firmly behind you in times of difficulty. That is, we know who our true friend is.



      Everyone gets in a lot of trouble on this path of life, if he wants to make some decisions, then we express this problem in front of our friend, then he will give us some help or the right advice. But sometimes we need to talk to ourselves in this difficult time, because we understand exactly what our disadvantages and our advantages are. Then the decision he made will be exactly right.



Let me tell you a formula that is a little complicated but understand. So the formula is that whenever you want to make a decision by talking to yourself, the question arises whether this decision is wrong or right? So let's do one -1) If your decision does not benefit you and does not benefit anyone else, then you are wrong. 

2) If the decision you make benefits you but hurts someone else, you are wrong.

3) If your decision benefits you and others, then you are right.

4) If the decision you have made benefits you and does not harm others, then you are right.

 Nowadays everyone is comparing many tasks, that this work is small, this work is big. I mean, if he has learned so much, he has got a small job, if he has ever learned so much, but he is doing a small job / small business and you can see that he is working in this position with a good education. So is it fair to compare? I don't think so. It is wrong to compare work.

         If a person has a good education and progresses in a big job, it is and should be appreciated, but it is not appropriate to compare his work with another person who has learned so much, if the same person is doing a small job / business If so, it is not fair to compare him to a high-ranking official. Even if someone is doing a small job / business, he is still working hard or his work is progressing slowly, so that his work cannot be compared to anything else.


              There are some people who compare themselves to themselves, which often leads them to underestimate their own work. Because of some of our mistakes or some of our circumstances we are not well educated or highly skilled, Then you want to start small so I don't have to differentiate between doing this job and my friend and my long brother working in a big company. There is a possibility that even if you are working in a small company, the same company can grow in the future due to your good cooperation. This is a positive thing to note.


           The only important thing is that if the work you are doing seems small, don't assume that whatever you are doing, do it sincerely. If you are avoiding a task because it is small, then you can avoid any big task tomorrow. So look at any job as an opportunity, it will either benefit you financially or increase your experience. It is more important to start small than to do nothing. As one great businessman said, "If you want to be happy for the rest of your life, love your job."
